The Activator Method uses a small, hand-held instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument to deliver a gentle impulse force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint. It is an alternative to the traditional manual form of spinal manipulation. There are two advantages of an Activator instrument-assisted treatment. The first is based on the speed of the device. The instrument is so quick that the body’s muscles are less likely to tense in response, and resist the treatment. The lack of muscle resistance may facilitate the treatment effectiveness. The second is that the applied force is localized and does not add any additional torque or bending moment to the joint.

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese method of relieving pain. It’s used to treat pain, anxiety, weight reduction, and substance abuse. We have used acupuncture in combination with chiropractic care here at Bloom Chiropractic for over 25 years. It is amazing the results that chiropractic care and acupuncture have on restoring the body to a state of health and wellness.

NOTE: The chiropractors CANNOT do acupuncture without an adjustment.

We utilize the TerraQuant Multi Radiance Medical’s LaserStim™ cold laserand have seen excellent results when used in combination with chiropractic care. Tendonitis, bursitis, neuropathy, muscle aches and pain, and restored range of motion are just a few conditions that it works well on. LaserStim™ is the first and only FDA cleared device to combine neuro adaptive electrical stimulation and laser in a single emitter, quickly locating the affected areas and then automatically delivering the appropriate dose of energy. The LaserStim is effective and safe to use.

Therapeutic ultrasound is a modality that sends ultrasonic waves deep into muscle tissue causing it to warm up in areas out of reach for standard external heating sources. These waves enhance the cell-repair effects of the inflammatory response and help to reduce pain and muscle spasm as well as promote the healing process.

Electrotherapy is a physical therapeutic treatment whereby electrical stimulation is applied to nerves and muscle-motor fibers via electro-pads placed on the skin. This helps affect the perception of pain by encouraging the release of endorphins. The contractions that often occur during electric muscle stimulation can strengthen the injured muscles and encourage muscle rehabilitation. Electric muscle stimulation also will cause the muscles to relax, increasing blood flow.

RockTape is a special kind of tape known as kinesiology tape. First used by acupuncturists and chiropractors in Japan, today kinesiology tape is used by practitioners throughout the world to treat injuries and improve sports performance. It can be used to treat conditions such as achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, ACL/MCL issues, rotator cuff problems, groin and hamstring pulls, lower back issues, shin splints, tennis and golf elbow, pain associated with pregnancy, and postural correction.

Ion Cleanse generates Ions AC electricity that is converted into low power DC electricity which flows through a patented electrode system that sits in the footbath.
